WEBINARMulticlonals Generation

The procedure to generate our Multiclonals is actually the core IP of Abcalis. However, we can reveal this much: for our multiclonal antibody mix, we specifically select monoclonal antibodies with exactly the functional properties required for the desired overall profile. The phage display technique makes this possible in a very targeted manner. We then assemble as many antibodies as necessary to achieve the desired functionality and specificity. This approach also enables Abcalis to ensure that the monoclonal antibodies are produced entirely without the use of animals. To introduce our concept, we have already explained it very clearly in a publicly accessible webinar together with PETA Science Consortium International e.V.  Of particular relevance here are the minutes from 10:30 to 15:25, in which the principle is described in detail.

WEBINARAntibodies and beyond

The power of animal-free, recombinant antibodies

This workshop gives an introduction to antibodies and explains the most common terms used in relation to antibodies. What does mono- or polyclonal mean? How are these antibodies developed and how do animals play a role?

How can animal-free antibodies be developed and what are their advantages and disadvantages. Here, the phage display method is explained as one of the main methods used to develop animal-free antibodies. Application examples show the versatility of animal-free antibodies in their applicability.

In addition, a small sensitization of which products and reagents in the daily laboratory routine may contain materials of animal origin.
